Why you never die to an impossible jump

Most endless runners place obstacles at random distances apart, which means that sooner or later they generate a pair nobody could clear — and you have no way of knowing it was not your fault. This one spaces obstacles by *time* rather than by distance. The gap is never shorter than one full jump plus 260 milliseconds to see the next obstacle and decide, so as the speed rises the obstacles automatically move further apart on screen to keep the same amount of thinking time. Every death in this game is a mistake you made, and that is the only kind worth learning from.

    One button, two heights

Tapping gives a short hop; holding gives a full jump. That single distinction is where the skill is: a short hop clears a small cactus and gets you back on the ground in time for the next one, while a full jump carries you over the tall ones but commits you for longer. Two forgiveness rules work in your favour and are worth knowing about. A jump pressed up to 120 milliseconds before you land still fires on landing, so fast sequences do not swallow your input. And you can still jump for 80 milliseconds after leaving the ground, so a press that arrives a frame late still works.

    How the score works

Points come from distance, so there is no way to farm them by standing still — and nothing to grind. You get a bonus for each obstacle you clear, and a smaller one for passing close to it, which is the only thing in the game that rewards risk. A dashed line on the track marks your personal best: when you see it coming, you are about to beat yourself, and when you pass it the number is already yours. That line is deliberately more motivating than the score in the corner, because a target you are physically approaching is harder to ignore than a figure you have to remember.

No ads, no account, nothing uploaded

There is no server. Your scores are kept in this browser's local storage and the "clear scores" button removes them. There are no advertisements, no purchases, no energy timers, no daily login rewards and nothing designed to make you play longer than you meant to. The one returning hook is the daily run: a track generated from today's date, identical for everyone, which you can compare with a friend honestly. Once the page has loaded it works with no connection, so it is also the thing to open when the train goes into a tunnel.

    Questions

    Is this game free?

Completely. No account, no advertisements, no purchases and no limit on how many times you play. There is nothing to upgrade to, because there is nothing being sold.

    Does it work offline?

Yes. Once the page has loaded, everything the game needs is already in your browser — there are no images to fetch and no server to talk to. It is the thing to open on a plane or in a tunnel.

    Is it suitable for children?

Yes. There is no violence, no chat, no advertising, no data collection and nothing to buy. It is one button, and nothing about it is designed to manipulate anyone into playing longer.

Why does the game speed up?

Because a constant speed stops being interesting after about a minute. The speed climbs towards a ceiling rather than rising forever, so the game keeps getting harder while staying survivable — a runner whose speed increases without limit eventually becomes a coin flip, and losing to a coin flip teaches you nothing.

    How do I duck?

Press the down arrow, or hold your finger against the lower part of the game area. You only need it for the low birds. The high ones pass over your head if you leave them alone — jumping into one is the usual way people lose a good run.

    Is my high score saved?

In this browser, on this device. There is no account and no server, so it will not follow you to your phone — but it also means nobody has it except you. The daily run is the way to compare with someone else: everyone gets the same track on the same date.
